I'm back now

Well actually I've been back for a week but we can pretend. I am primed and ready for a reading weekend. We went to the library last night (my wife and I) and put a significant dent in their book supply. This week at work has been everything but rewarding. After attending an awesome conference and seeing the amazing potential of new tools for our company, its amazing how little can be furthered under the weight of the everyday grind. Its hard to live even by my own creed: "Do not sacrifice the important on the altar of the immediate" If it doesn't work out this week (it's Friday today :( ) I can attack life's greatest challenges next week. I'm ready, I'm ready

Man! I want to leave already! I can't wait to get out of town. I'm gonna miss home and my lovely wife, but I am looking forward to seeing new places! It's nice to still have things to get excited about at my age. I'm also jazzed about my wife getting her new car this weekend. It's a '99 Acura TL 3.2L w/VTEC engine. The most luxurious (and expensive, we paid 10,000) car I've ever owned. No more Ford Probe! Yes! It probed its last when she got rear-ended a couple weeks ago. Wow, too much excitement.!

Catching up

In getting ready for my trip I am completely busy! Trying to get ahead definitely has its challenges. It could be worse though, I could not have enough time to update my blog!

At the grind

I'm so glad I bought myself this M500. I'm going on a business trip to Memphis next week and now I'll have something to occupy my free time! Yes! Well on to less interesting topics. Here goes my rant. I am fed up with people that are not nerdy enough. People just don't have an appreciation of how much technology can impact their lives. I see so many people every day at work who are not patient enough to learn things themselves on computers. It makes me incredibly upset, angry even that people will not give the technology at their fingertips the chance to do what it can potentially. I could go on forever, but I can't. Signing off.

A date with destiny

Yesterday I bought my first handheld. I know I'm behind the times. Well I don't have the technology budget that I would like but I was able to purchase a palm M500. I am going to try to run Linux on it as of course, that is the first and most important thing that can be done with any piece of electrical equipment. Anyway I decided to celebrate this personal advancement by starting a public web log to account my adventures.

In the beginning

Good morning ladies and gents! A great day has come for darknightroot is born! Come bask in its wonder and glory.
